Overview
This class prepares members of The Mother Church to take their first practical steps as Christian Science Nursing Assistants, religious ministers in Tenacre's Christian Science Nursing Ministry.
This involves learning how to put their current understanding and practice of Christian Science into service of others by helping those relying radically on Christian Science for healing with the simpler aspects of dressing, mealtime, and personal care. More importantly, it involves learning how to bring to these the patience, love, intuition, and quiet confidence in God that their practical study of Christian Science has given them.
Christian Science Nurse. Sect. 31 — A member of The Mother Church who represents himself or herself as a Christian Science nurse shall be one who has a demonstrable knowledge of Christian Science practice, who thoroughly understands the practical wisdom necessary in a sick room, and who can take proper care of the sick. The cards of such persons may be inserted in The Christian Science Journal under rules established by the publishers.
