Train: Princeton Junction is the local train
station and it is served by
NJ Transit trains and by some Amtrak trains.
NJ Transit operates trains between New York Penn station and
Princeton Junction and it also operates a good service between
Newark Airport and Princeton Junction. There are more NJ Transit
trains that stop at Princeton Junction than Amtrak trains, but on
either train line, only some trains make the stop.
Bus: From New York City's Port Authority Bus
Terminal, you may reach Princeton's Palmer Square via the Suburban
Transit Bus Company. For information about other bus transportation,
please check with bus companies operating in your area.
Air: Newark Liberty International Airport is
the most convenient airport for Princeton. The Airport’s
AirTrain is a monorail that connects the
airport terminals with the Newark Airport train station, served by
NJ Transit. Take the Northeast Corridor train
line to Princeton Junction. Taxis are available at Princeton
Junction and the trip to Tenacre is about $20.00.
Olympic Airporter
is a commercial service providing ground transportation between
Newark and JFK airports and the Nassau Inn in downtown Princeton.
The shuttle charges start at $33 for one person; pricing, schedules,
and reservation information can be found on their website. From the Nassau Inn, Tenacre
is easily accessible by taxi.
Public transportation from the Philadelphia Airport is a bit more
complicated, and private limo service to Princeton from that airport
costs approximately $100.
